The City of Milwaukee is proposing improvements for the N. 25th Street Bridge over the Menomonee River.
Potential improvements of the bridge consist of the following
Construction may begin as early as 2027, during which the bridge will be closed to all traffic, with a dedicated detour route posted for both motorists and pedestrians. The project team will continue to keep the public informed of updates throughout the project.
The S. 70th Street Bridge project replaced the 82-year-old structure, sidewalk, and deteriorated roadway approaches. The replacement of the bridge required intermittent closures of the Hank Aaron State Trail so the De Vor team created digital materials to help pedestrians and bicyclists navigate these closures.
Work for this project included doing briefs, construction forecasts, and an animation to help stakeholders understand the detour for the Hank Aaron State Trail.
The City of Milwaukee, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), is rehabilitating the Cherry Street Bridge over the Milwaukee River. Improvements to the 85-year-old structure will address the City’s safety and operational concerns, meeting state and federal requirements; and maintain the unique, historically significant aspects of the structure.
Project Goals
Traffic Impacts
The City of Milwaukee has completed the first of three phases on the rehabilitation of the N. Holton Street bridge over the Milwaukee River. The bridge was constructed in 1926 and is an important and historical structure for Milwaukee.
Project Goals
Our Holton Street Bridge branding incorporated the swing park below the bridge. For this project we created project updates and construction forecasts.
The N. Humboldt Boulevard project reconstructed the 1.5 miles of roadway and was nominated for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Outstanding Highway Construction Award in the Concrete Paving category.
Project Goals
This project utilized print and digital pieces, including project briefs and construction forecasts. Deliverables were created in US letter format, and distributed via email and social media.
The City of Milwaukee, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), is reconstructing W. Lisbon Avenue from N. 100th Street to W. Burleigh Street. The complete reconstruction will address deteriorating pavement, reduce frequency and severity of crashes, improve transportation safety and mobility for all users, enhance storm water management and implement traffic calming measures.
Project Goals
Traffic Impacts
W. Lisbon Avenue will be reconstructed in four phases, from spring 2025 to winter 2026. In 2025, crews will concentrate on operations between N. 100th and N. 86th streets. In 2026, crews will concentrate on operations between N. 86th and W. Burleigh streets. Long-term lane closures will be required as part of this work, and local detours will be posted.

The City of Milwaukee, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), is redesigning N. Sherman Boulevard from W. North Avenue to W. Capitol Drive. Improvements to this historical corridor aim to increase safety while preserving the existing environment.
Goals for the N. Sherman Boulevard redesign include
Tentative project schedule
In 2025, the design team will continue working on and submitting required documentation and environmental materials. Utility relocations are scheduled to begin in 2027, with construction beginning in spring 2028. Construction is expected to be completed in winter 2029.
The scope of work on the W. Vliet Street project included removing and replacing the existing pavement, curb & gutter, and driveway approaches with concrete. Sidewalks and curb ramps were built to meet current ADA standards. Traffic signals and streetlights were also upgraded.
This project branding was created to reflect the small business community on Vliet Street. The branding is being used throughout the pieces created for this project, including project updates, construction forecasts, and traffic switch maps.
The W. Walnut Street project in the city of Milwaukee is the first of its kind! The roadway was fully reconstructed transforming a four-lane roadway into two lanes and adding protected bike paths, a major safety improvement for Milwaukee’s biggest traffic calming project.
Project Goals
This project branding was created to reflect the mural on Walnut Street. The branding is being used throughout the pieces created for this project, including project updates, construction forecasts, and traffic switch maps.
In an effort to assist stakeholders, an animation was created for social media to show motorists how to get around Walnut Street to access local businesses.
